Biography
Dr. Ramanan Joined Indian Space Research organization in 1984 and since then working in space flight mechnics area. He recieived his Ph.D from University of Kerala , Thiruvananthpuram, India for his thesis ‘Lunar Transfer Trajectories’. He made significant contributions to Chandrayaan-1 , Moon Impact Probe missions and the Mars Orbiter mission in the mission design and planning area. Currently , he is member of a study team for exploring future Indian deep space missions. He has about twenty publications in international reputed journals and about 40 papers in international and national conferences. He has given invited talks and lectures in many conferences/institutions/ organizations. He Joined Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, an educational institution under Department of Space, in 2010 and since then working as adjunct professor in Department of aerospace Engineering. He has supervised many undergraduate student projects which resulted in journal publications and conference papers. He is supervising a number of research scholars.
