Nicolas H Younan is currently the Department Head and James worth Bagley Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University (MSU). He received the BS and MS degrees from MSU in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and the PhD degree from Ohio University in 1988. His research interests include signal processing and pattern recognition. He has been involved in the development of advanced image processing and pattern recognition techniques for remote sensing applications, image/data fusion, feature extraction and classification, automatic target recognition/identification, and image information/data mining.

Ramesh K. Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering in the department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Washington University in St. Louis. He is also the director of Aerospace Engineering Program, Aerospace Research and Education Center and Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at WUSTL. From 1994 to 1996, he was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Chair of Aerospace Engineering department at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. From 1996 to 2001, he was the Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and the executive director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University. Agarwal received Ph.D in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. Agarwal developed a third-order upwind scheme in 1981for the solution of Navier-Stokes equations.

Giancarlo Genta is Professor of Construction Machines at the Politecnico (Technical University) di Torino. He is member of the Academy of Sciences of Torino and of the International Academy of Astronautics. Since 2012 chairs study group SG 3.16 of the International Academy of Astronautics: Global human Mars system missions exploration, goals, requirements and technologies. In 2013 received the Yangel Medal for outstanding contributions to the development of the international space sciences and technologies and the Engineering Science Award of the International Academy of Astronautics for outstanding achievement in engineering science He authored 90 papers, published in Italian, American and English Journals, 268 papers presented to symposia and 25 books, some of which are used as textbooks in some American Universities. Dorian Gorgan is a Professor in Computer Science Department of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, PhD supervisor in Computers and Information Technology, and coordinator of the Computer Graphics and Interactive System Laboratory. The fields of interest involve parallel and distributed processing over HPC infrastructures such as Grid, Cloud, Multicore, and cluster, development of platforms and applications for spatial data processing and visualization, interdisciplinary research in the domains of Earth Sciences and Earth Observations. Joseph Seckbach is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Cellular Origins, Life in Extreme Habitats and Astrobiology Seroes. He earned his PhD from University of Chicago and did a Post-doctorate at Caltech, then headed a group at UCLA studying extraterrestrial life possibilities. Later, he was appointed to the Hebrew University and spent sabbaticals at UCLA and Harvard. During 1997-98, he served at LSU, Baton Rouge, as the first selected Chair for the Louisiana Sea Grant. He published ~140 scientific articles including Hebrew-language Chemistry Lexicon. His interest is over enigmatic microorganisms, life in extreme environments and astrobiology. Bo Huang is a Professor in the Department of Geography and Resource Management, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he is also the Associate Director of Institute of Space and Earth Information Science and the Director of MSc Program in GeoInformation Science. He received Changjiang Scholar Chair Professorship, the highest academic award issued to an individual in higher education by the Ministry of Education of PR China. Dr. Huang’s research interest focuses on geographical information science and he has published extensively in this field, including over 100 refereed international journal articles. He currently serves as the Asia-Pacific Editor of International Journal of Geographical Information Science (Taylor & Francis). In recent years he has been exploring along the line of unified remote sensing image fusion, convinced that this new paradigm will revolutionize the way how remote sensing data are integrated, analyzed and utilized in the future.

Zhengshi Yu completed his PhD at Beijing Institute of Technology. He was a Research Scholar at University at Buffalo and worked on “The guidance, navigation, and control technologies for deep space exploration”. Now, he is pursuing his Post-doctoral Degree at Beijing Institute of Technology. He has his expertise in “Optimal estimation, trajectory optimization, autonomous guidance, navigation and control system, and image processing”. Now, he is working on “The innovative navigation, guidance and control method for Mars EDL phase and small body exploration”. He is the Project Leader of National Natural Science Foundation of China and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Project.

Oleg Troshichev completed his Graduation at Leningrad University, USSR and PhD in Physics in 1969 at Siberian Institute of Earth Magnetism, Ionosphere, and Radio-wave Propagation (Irkutsk,). He takes charge of Department of Geophysics in AARI (St. Petersburg) from 1985. The main subject of his investigations is “Physics of the earth’s magnetosphere and solar-terrestrial relations”.

Zakaria Hamimi is a structural geologist spent the majority of his academic careerer at Benha University (Egypt) along with some years at Sana’a University (Yemen,) and King Abdulaziz University (Saudi Arabia). He has graduated (1984) from Assiut University (distinction with honor degree), and holds the M.Sc. (1988) from Zagazig University (Egypt) and the Ph.D. in Structural Geology and Tectonics (1992) from Cairo University. His research interests focus on Structural Geology, Microstructures and Tectonics. He has worked in many field-related sub-disciplines of Earth Sciences including geologic mapping, microstructural analysis, strain analysis, paleostress reconstruction, active tectonics, tectonic geomorphology, crustal deformation and image processing. He used all these fields to study key areas in the Arabian-Nubian Shield, and to decipher their deformation history. Zakaria Hamimi is the president, and one of the founding team, of the Arabian Geosciences Union since 2012. He has received the medal of the Egyptian Geological Society of Egypt in 2015, and also the medal of the Arab Mining and Petroleum Association in 2016. He has co-published 50 research articles in national and international indexed and refereed journals and authored several books. In 2016, Zakaria Hamimi (1) joined the AJGS as Associate Editor responsible for evaluating submissions in the fields of Structural Geology, Microstructures and Tectonics, (2) selected as a Member of the Egyptian Universities Promotion Committee, the Supreme Council for Universities (SCU, Egypt), (3) nominated as a Secretary of the National Committee for Geological Sciences, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and (4) designated as the IUGS-Representative for Egypt.

He is PhD in astrophysics and stellar physics. His main fields of research are related to applications of satellites in applied and fundamental research, space and solar terrestrial physics, design and development of optical and spectral equipment for photographic registration in different regions of the spectrum. Dr. Shopov is supervisor of the Master programme on Aerospace engineering (small satellites) and co-supervisor of the Master programme on Space research of Sofia University.

His main fields of research are related to applications of satellites in applied and fundamental research, space and solar terrestrial physics, design and development of optical and spectral equipment for photographic registration in different regions of the spectrum.

Ali Cheknane is a full-Professor at the Amar Telidji University of Laghouat-Algeria. He has completed his PhD in physics. He is having 20 years teaching graduate and post-graduate teaching experience at the university as temporary, associated and permanent position. He has published many papers in various journals and conference proceedings on renewable energy subjects. He has supervised 10 PhD students (04 theses have been defended) and 14 Master students' projects (Magister). He has supervised more than 40 projects (Engineer and Technician) in electrical engineering and computing. He got an incentive award from “Centre de Development des Energies Renouvelables- CDER”. He was awarded for the best publication in physics in Algeria from the ANDRU agency in 2008. He is the Head of the research team: “Photovoltaic Systems & Devices”. Alexander M Krot is a Head of the Laboratory of Self-Organization System Modeling at the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He graduated from the Belarusian State University, Department of Radiophysics in 1982. He received PhD in 1985, then degree of Doctor of Sciences (DSc) in 1991 and Professor degree in 1997. He has published 275 scientific works including 3 monographs and more than 60 articles in refereed journals.

Dr. Ramanan Joined Indian Space Research organization in 1984 and since then working in space flight mechnics area. He recieived his Ph.D from University of Kerala , Thiruvananthpuram, India for his thesis ‘Lunar Transfer Trajectories’. He made significant contributions to Chandrayaan-1 , Moon Impact Probe missions and the Mars Orbiter mission in the mission design and planning area. Currently , he is member of a study team for exploring future Indian deep space missions. He has about twenty publications in international reputed journals and about 40 papers in international and national conferences. He has given invited talks and lectures in many conferences/institutions/ organizations. He Joined Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, an educational institution under Department of Space, in 2010 and since then working as adjunct professor in Department of aerospace Engineering. He has supervised many undergraduate student projects which resulted in journal publications and conference papers. He is supervising a number of research scholars.
